About Our Breast Cancer Support Group

The centre is run by women who have themselves experienced breast cancer. They now give their time voluntarily to provide a pleasant environment for women and men to meet and gain emotional and physical support.

Please come and have a cup of tea with us, ‘the kettle is always on and we hope you will find us friendly and understanding of your situation because we’ve all been there ourselves. It’s true when they say ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’ and you have nothing to lose by giving it a try.

“There are no appointments needed. You can come and go as you please. We like it to be a home from home. You get your support from each other; someone else who has been there. We talk amongst ourselves and we sort of counsel each other.”
