I have been a member for many years and there is always somebody on hand to help with any problems. And as part of the support we alway have a great laugh!
After hearing about The Lily Centre at one of Evertons functions we found out that Everton Football Club could find a few things to help along The Lily Centre to auction and we have enjoyed it ever since
I am very happy to be associated with the hard work that you do at The Lily Centre, giving up your own free time. Its a marvellous, marvellous idea and it’s marvellous of everyone connected to The Lily Centre to be involved.
I just wanted to be a little part of it
They are magical. There is something in the spirit of these two women that is amazing. You can’t fail to want to help
My aunt died of breast cancer and she was a local woman so there are particular connections here for me.
I first met the girls several years ago when they were nominated for Merseyside Women of the Year for their achievements. They really stood out and made a huge impact on me and everyone else, and they still make a great impact on people.
There is something about the atmosphere which brings out the best in people. The idea is a simple one but a special one. I think that it is typical of Peggy and Winnie that they don’t want to keep the idea to themselves; they want it to be well know and spread around. The women of London, the North East, Wales and Scotland could replicate it.
In many countries of the world women are still isolated by cultural taboos and do not talk about breasts. I think this idea really could be spread across the world.
